This past week, we said goodbye to another friend.

They experience joy simply being with their people, playing with their toys, eating their food, and doing all the fun and silly things that make them special.
When they start to stop doing these things, they are communicating without words.

Lifespan, health span, and quality of life need to be balanced.
When we are seeing a trend toward more bad days than good days, despite supplements, physical therapy, medications, and other medical interventions, we know it’s time.
Timing Requires Courage and Love
We would rather lay an animal to rest a day early than a day late.
We see more people experience guilt when their pet suffers, or when families wait until it becomes an emergency.

Dignity Matters
Dignity is an important component, and has to be part of the equation.
We want pets to have dignity right up until their last moment whenever possible.
Peace Is Possible
It’s not easy, and there is never a good time to say goodbye to a loved one, but peace is possible.
When we use this to relieve suffering, and lay an animal to rest with love and dignity, this is where they have peace, and so do their families.
